This project was a small yet impactful change to the front elevation of this property. The hallway was previously open directly onto the driveway through the front door. The works comprised of adding an internal porch space to provide the client with more security and better thermal resistance to the external elements into the core of the house. The addition of the porch needed to be designed carefully to still ensure that the hallway remain bright and well lit with natural daylight. An additional canopy was also added to the front of the property to give the main entrance to the dwelling a stronger feature and to also give a covered space from the entrance when entering or leaving the house.
