This Victorian property had a vast amount of original character, from the ornate high ceilings to the original exterior features and details. The client asked for a detailed design of the ground floor space to change the location of the kitchen and to utilise existing features but in a more modern way of living. The partition wall between the front and rear of the house was removed to create an open plan living and kitchen space with a large island. The kitchen has also been connected to the dining space by utilising the existing internal fireplace as a feature walk-through. Although the works did not require any extension works, getting the internal spaces designed to work as best they could for the client was an extremely exciting project.
