The brief for the project was to provide full architectural services on 4 bed detached property that needed a complete overhaul. The house was built in the early 60s and had not been decorated since. Over time multiple extensions had been added that meant that the existing floor plan and living arrangement were not suitable for modern day living. The design proposed demolition of the existing extensions on either side of the property as well as the removal of a load bearing wall within the kitchen, this allowed for a new side extension with roof lantern and bi-fold doors on two sides which now provide views out to the garden as well as flooding the space with natural daylight. The new office is tucked in behind the kitchen extension so that it can be closed off from the main house. On the opposite side a small extension was built in place of an old porch to provide a new utility area which allows the kitchen to be sleek and minimal.

Brief: Demolish the existing lean to and remodel the entire home to provide an open plan living / dining / kitchen space and home office. Works to the first floor involved an internal remodel to provide the master bedroom with an en-suite.
